Mesterolone (Proviron)

Mesterolone (Proviron) is an orally active synthetic androgen derived from dihydrotestosterone (DHT), known primarily for its androgenic properties rather than significant muscle-building effects. It has been used medically to treat androgen deficiency and related symptoms, including reduced libido and certain forms of male hypogonadism.

In bodybuilding, Mesterolone is sometimes discussed as an additional compound alongside other anabolic steroids. It has a strong binding affinity for sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and does not convert into estrogen. However, claims that it significantly increases free testosterone, enhances the effects of other steroids or improves muscle definition are not well established by clinical evidence.
